The road is currently open but will be closed again on the 24th April for up to 1 day to allow the works to be permanently reinstated.

The closure of Iwade Road, Newington has been extended to 23rd April 2025.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Snakesbury Cottage.

The alternative route is via: Iwade Road, School Lane, Boxted Lane, Breach Lane, The Street, Sheerness Road, Basser Hill and vice versa.

This is to enable burst water main repairs to be carried out by Southern Water.
