Address:Land West Of Church Lane, Newington

Proposal: Erection of 90 no. residential dwellings, together with associated access, open space, landscaping, drainage, infrastructure works and earthworks, and the provision of car parking spaces for existing residents.

There will be a meeting of the Parish Council's Planning Committee on Wednesday 16 April 2025 7.00pm in the Newington Room of the Village Hall to discuss the above application.

This is the Fernham Homes proposal for a 90 home development off Denham Road/Hasted Road; also 9 parking spaces for residents of Denham Road, Hasted Road and Church Lane as ‘double yellow line parking restrictions will be implemented along the southern side of Denham Road and along the eastern and western sides of Church Lane within the vicinity of its junction with Denham Road, in order to maintain traffic flow and visibility.’ Inevitably there would be a further increase in traffic using Church Lane.

(This planning application is not to be confused with the Fernham Homes development currently under construction next to the School.)

The developer, Fernham Homes, will give an explanation of their planning application and there will be an opportunity for comments by residents before the Committee makes its decision. The Parish Council will submit its comments to Swale Borough Council which is the Planning Authority and will make the final decision on the planning application
